Summer Marketing and Website Checklist for Yoga, Pilates and Wellness Teachers
Summer can be a quieter season for classes, perhaps you’re actively taking time off to be with loved ones or rest. Or… maybe you’re still consistently teaching, maybe you do beach or park classes and this is a buoyant time. Either way, I always recommend the summer period to get some tidy-up done for your business… you’ll be so grateful in September that you did this!
Here is a clear summer checklist to help yoga, Pilates and wellness teachers keep their online presence up to date and working effectively.
Instagram and Social Media Checks
Check the link in your bio
Make sure it points to something current — for example, your booking page, timetable, or a Linktree-style page with clear calls to action.Review your Instagram name and headline
Does it include what you do and where you are? For example: instead of just “Laura | Yoga”, try “Laura | Yoga Teacher Muswell Hill”. This helps people find you when searching locally.Update pinned posts and story highlights
Check that pinned posts still reflect your current offers or timetable. Remove or update any outdated story highlights, such as old events or workshops.Have you got time to make some templates?
It’s a good time to check in with your canva templates, have you drifted away from your colour scheme? Do things look consistent-ish (look it doesn’t need to be every single post perfect but broadly does your page look cohesive?)
Website Health Checks
Check your page titles
These are the titles that appear in browser tabs and Google search results. Make sure they clearly describe the page and include your location where relevant, such as “Restorative Yoga in Middle Earth | Elrond Yoga” instead of simply “Home”.Ensure you have only one Heading 1 (H1) per page
Each page should have a single H1 that clearly states what the page is about, such as “Yoga Classes in Middle Earth”. — You’re missing out on so much if you simply have a page called “Classes” — Classes where? With who?Review your keywords
Search for yourself online: do you appear for the right search terms? You may need to adjust your wording to include phrases like “Pilates for beginners in [town]” or “Sound Baths in [town]”.Test your booking process
Go through your booking system as if you were a student. Are the confirmation emails correct? Do they clearly explain what students need to know (what to bring, where to go, cancellation policy, etc.)?Check that your timetable is current
Ensure your website schedule reflects your latest classes, and that any cancelled classes or old events have been removed.Test your contact forms and links
Send yourself a message through your website to make sure it arrives. Click all the buttons and links to check nothing is broken.
General Marketing Tasks
Update your Google Business Profile
Review your opening hours, photos, description and respond to or ask for reviews. This helps students find you more easily in local searches.Plan ahead for autumn
Summer is a good time to plan your autumn timetable, workshops or promotions, and to start mentioning them online.Check your email list and welcome sequence
If you collect emails, make sure your sign-up form works and your welcome email still reflects your current offers and tone.
Why now?
Summer is an ideal moment to take stock before the busy autumn season begins. A few small checks now can make a big difference in helping students find you, understand what you offer, and book with confidence.
